Nuria Fermoso
Nuria has extensive experience in the travel industry since 2008, setting standards and streamlining process efficiencies that enhance customer experience and satisfaction, and reduce costs for airlines and airports. She leads the European strategy to manage and coordinate the IATA programs to shape the landscape for modernizing the travel journey, covering the passenger experience and aviation facilitation perspectives. She does so for the European region in coordination with industry stakeholders and governments.

Next phase – the One ID PoC
IATA is jointly working with stakeholders on the industry standards to enable the One ID vision in an interoperable manner. Furthermore, IATA and its partners have successfully demonstrated that the industry is ready to deliver a fully digital air travel experience. This was achieved in a proof of concept (PoC) involving two passengers using different digital wallets and travel credentials on a round trip between Hong Kong and Tokyo.
