O’Hare 21 – Satellite 1 and TAP program-wide design initiatives

O’Hare Airport and its designer SOM have embarked on a transformational terminal development program – O’Hare 21 – that will be implemented over the next decade. This presentation will provide an update on the overall capital development program, identify and discuss program-wide initiatives, and give an update on the first major component of the terminal area program – a new satellite concourse. Future program initiatives to be addressed include accessible design, climate and security resilience, sustainability, near- and long-term energy transition strategies and socio-economic inclusion.
