Tim joined London Gatwick Airport, one of the world’s busiest single-runway airports, in 2019 and is passionate about finding innovative solutions for the airport and its partners. He recently led a program focused on smart turn operations, enhancing efficiency and collaboration. Outside of work, Tim enjoys cycling and trekking along the South Downs Way, which he’s fortunate to have right on his doorstep, combining his love for innovation with outdoor adventure.

Automatic FOD detection integration in Gatwick's smart stand vision
Automating the FOD detection process will generate benefits but also comes with challenges. The presentation will explain the challenges Gatwick Airport is facing and how these can be addressed related to automatic FOD detection systems. The presentation will be based on experience from a PoC made at Gatwick Airport.
