Timo Jarvela
Jarvela leads Helsinki Airport terminal operations and passenger experience development and steers various airport expansion projects. Responsible for passenger services and development, airport security, terminal control and the APOC (airport operation center), under Jarvela's leadership the Helsinki Airport development program was finalized in autumn 2023 to serve over 30 million customers. Jarvela has 15+ years of experience in the airport and airline business and was previously responsible for Finavia’s route development and airline account management.

The presentation demonstrates how shared data and situational awareness can significantly enhance airport operations, using Helsinki Airport as a case study. Finavia’s airport operations system (AOS) integrates situational awareness and efficiency across airport processes (passenger, baggage, airside). The presentation highlights how Finavia has started building a system toward the extended AOP (airport operations plan).
