Catherine Piana

Catherine is the director general of the Aviation Security Services Association (ASSA-i) – internationally representing aviation security services since 2014. She has been a professional EU lobbyist since 1990 and has led several associations in B2B sectors. Catherine has also been the chair of the EU Standards Committee on private security since 2016. Additionally, she helped create an e-learning platform on the insider threat, a spin-off of an EU-funded project. While running the Vending Association, Catherine was responsible for changing the euro coin regulation at the last minute.
