Jorge da Silva Rodrigues
Mr. Jorge Rodrigues works as a Project Officer in the ETIAS Central Unit at the European Border and Coast Guard Agency - Frontex, where he is responsible for setting up the traveller and carrier support channels for EES and ETIAS. The launch of the EES and ETIAS will change European border management as such and affect the work of the carriers and of the international airports and seaports across Europe.
Before joining the ETIAS Central Unit, Mr. Rodrigues worked as a Research Officer at the Research and Innovation Unit at Frontex and as an IT Project Manager at the Portuguese Immigration and Border Service. His areas of expertise include technological research, traveller facilitation, digital identities, standardization, and operational research.
Mr. Rodrigues holds a master’s degree in e-Commerce and Internet from the Universidade Aberta as well as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Superior Autónomo de Estudos Politécnicos.
