Explosive trace detectors
Bruker
Bruker will showcase two explosives trace detectors (ETD) for access and cargo control based on ion mobility spectrometry: the portable benchtop DE-tector Flex and the handheld RoadRunner.
The DE-tector Flex is a high-throughput instrument with an analysis time of less than eight seconds. It is not only ECAC certified for cargo and passenger control but now also TSA air cargo approved. The device needs no calibration, removing the efforts required for daily tasks. A dedicated software can be used to network and control large fleets of instruments.
The handheld RoadRunner offers the sensitivity of a benchtop system in a portable format. It uses the revolutionary new CHIRP-IMS technology for best detection performance and continuous automatic calibration for best performance and minimal user interaction. Bruker says that the RoadRunner is the world's only ECAC-certified handheld ETD. It weighs just 3.5kg and has a battery life of up to four hours, making it suitable for any mobile use.
Live demos will be performed at Bruker’s booth.
