Aero bench electrification
Sellex
The Aero bench, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, is one of the most emblematic products from Sellex. In its more than 20 years of life it has equipped all types of facilities, from airport and hospital waiting areas to funeral homes and palaces of justice.
The electrification system for the Aero bench was developed to provide more functionality, with a traditional plug connection and a USB socket.
The requirements were clear: it had to be perfectly integrated into the bench, with no cables in sight (for safety reasons), and it had to be a long-lasting solution.
To meet these requirements, Sellex developed a system that allows cables to pass through the interior of the seat and the legs. The system is fully integrated into the structure, so that the cable exits through the ‘foot’ of the bench to be connected in the desired location.
The company also developed a curved table with the electrification installed in the highest part to prevent spilled liquids from damaging the system.
