Airside 4.0: pioneering fully automated docking with innovative FOD integration.
ADB Safegate
ADB Safegate and London Gatwick have partnered to launch a new project that will investigate whether the way airports operate can change. They're introducing an automated system designed to detect debris on the apron. Foreign object debris (FOD) detection, seamlessly integrated into the arrival and the docking process, is a significant innovation in ADB Safegate’s intelligent apron platform, which aims to make the whole process of docking, turnaround and push-back smoother, safer and more sustainable.
Airside 4.0 envisions a future where airside operations are interconnected, streamlined and efficiently managed. The Intelligent AiPRON suite of products is designed to optimize aircraft turnaround, ensure safety and provide real-time insights and operational efficiency.
This innovative detection system revolutionizes traditional FOD management by ensuring seamless integration with other automated systems within the Intelligent AiPRON suite.
By collectively leading the charge, ADB Safegate and London Gatwick are not only imagining the future of air travel but are actively creating it. During the PT Conference, representatives from London Gatwick and ADB Safegate will deliver a joint presentation about this project, and you can find out more at the ADB Safegate booth.
