Genève Aéroport

With more than 13 million passengers per annum, Genève Aéroport is a major infrastructure located in the centre of a very dynamic region. It serves the home city of the United Nations in Europe and benefits from a catchment area that has one of the highest propensity to travel in the world.

Genève Aéroport is well known for its high-yield market demand, thanks to an exceptional concentration of diplomatic activities, congress agenda and dynamic business environment. It is also located in one of the most vibrant regions in the world for finance, trading and biotechnology.

The airport is implementing a comprehensive refurbishment of its infrastructures. A major terminal expansion finished in 2010 gave passengers more capacity and comfort and enhanced shopping facilities. The next step of the master plan (2012-2016) will be a brand-new wide-body “East Wing” designed by one of the world’s top airport architects.

Over the years, Genève Aéroport has maintained very reasonable charges, which puts it at the low-end of European airports. These efforts to improve productivity, transparency and financial attractiveness have been acknowledged, among others, by the ATRS Efficiency Award received in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
