Biography: Maurice has served as principal advisor to the Aviation Director on all matters related to information management and technology since September 2000. He provides strategic and tactical direction, planning, development and operation of the Aviation Department’s information technology infrastructure, telecommunications services, application support, end-user support services and training. Maurice is responsible for defining and managing capital planning and investment management processes to ensure successful implementation and project integration within the department budget. Prior to his appointment as Division Director, he served as the Aviation Department’s Chief of Information Systems, responsible for development and implementation of standard-based policies and procedures that support business operations, which improved the overall quality of service of enterprise IT systems. Maurice’s strategic vision successfully culminated in the integration of new technology in the opening of the new South and North Terminals at Miami International Airport, and the successful implementation of new systems such as Propworks and PeopleSoft ERP. He also implemented an area-wide marketing information service to hotels and convention centres using current flight information data from Miami International Airport. As an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the Airports Council International (ACI), Maurice fosters, supports and promotes best in-practice initiatives. Maurice graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Computer Information Systems. He has earned certifications in strategic management from Florida International University and human resources management from Nova Southeastern University. He regularly presents on implementation solutions to key IT leaders and during airport IT conferences in the USA and internationally.

Biography: Al is HOK’s Information Technology and Communication (ITC) director based in the New York office. As part of HOK’s global engineering group, he optimises these systems to automate business processes, incorporate smart building strategies and improve overall performance. He is particularly focused on leveraging new and emerging technologies to improve guest/traveller experience, reduce costs and create operational efficiencies. Synopsis: As the aviation industry continues to rapidly move towards the E2E passenger journey, using walking-pace and single token as its vision, there is a need to design and deploy functions in an integrated process. This presentation provides a focus for airport operators, airlines and key airport stakeholders in improving the passenger journey through the entire air-travel experience. It specifically presents the requirements for, and benefits of, a well-established integrated passenger E2E programme. Case study discussion is presented from Orlando International Airport on improvements in the existing North Terminal Complex and post-design work for the new South Terminal Complex.

Biography: John has been the Director of Information Technology for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) since 1987 and is responsible for communications, business and operations systems for the Orlando International and Orlando Executive Airports. John's responsibilities prior to GOAA were research, development, operations and leadership for aerospace programmes, including rocket propulsion, flight training simulators, test and evaluation systems, anti-ballistic missile defence systems, launch control systems, manufacturing automation and business information systems. John holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Alabama. He is a past Chairman of the Business Information Technology Committee of the Airports Council International – North America, and a past Chairman of the Florida Airports Council Information Technology Committee.

Biography: Frank has over 30 years’ experience and is founder and Principal Consultant of Barich Inc, a business consulting firm serving the aviation industry. During this time, he has helped advance North American airport initiatives in key strategic areas such as passenger processing and airport operational technologies. Frank actively works with industry associations and research organisations that contribute to the furtherance of the aviation industry, including serving on committees for ACI-North America BIT, and the ACI World IT Standing Committee. He is an active participant in the IATA CUWG working group and IATA’s special task force for the passenger end-to-end journey. Biography: Ali is a key member of the LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) team, the private partner selected by the Port Authority of NY and NJ to redevelop and operate Terminal B at LaGuardia. Ali oversees the phasing design and construction planning for the redevelopment of Terminal B and works cross-functionally with the Port Authority and design build partners Skanksa-Walsh, HOK and WSP. Prior to joining LGP, Ali worked as a Project Engineer for the Vancouver Airport Authority and led the decommissioning and transition process for replacement of a portion of the 1960s-era domestic terminal building. Ali joined Vantage Airport Group in 2015 to bring her experience in operator-focused construction planning to early design and contract negotiations for LGP. She has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Synopsis: The identification of complex information by applying big data management paradigms will help identify hidden trends regarding different airport processes, which will give the airport market sector a new dimension to grow by identifying passengers’ behavioural patterns. Biography: Ching Hock joined the Changi Airport team in 2008 and has 10 years' experience in airport operations management. He is currently leading the Fast and Seamless Travel (FAST) programme in Changi Airport Group (CAG). Changi's newest terminal, Terminal 4 (T4), opened on 31 October 2017. Aside from T4 FAST, Ching Hock was also part of the T4 ORAT team, designing and putting together the suite of FAST systems in T4, and trialling them before T4 commenced operations.
Personal fact:
Ching Hock is a newly crowned father to a lovely baby girl. When not attending to airport matters, he spends his time trying to enhance the happiness index for his family and his cat.

Biography: Serge is responsible for overseeing all aspects of airport IT technology and the airport facilitation portfolio. In sum, he assists airports in using technology to improve the passenger process. He became Senior Manager, Facilitation and IT in April 2016. In his previous role as Manager Facilitation and Airport IT, he was responsible for promoting the ACRIS standard across the air transport industry and focused on the airport IT portfolio. Before joining ACI World, Serge worked for more than 12 years at Aéroports de Montreal, where he held various roles related to increasing the use of technology. Biography: Sylvain has 29 years' experience in the aviation industry. He worked for Air Canada for the last 27 years, including 10 years devoted to international airport operations, providing leadership and direction to the overall passenger experience with a focus on IT solutions. He was responsible for several international airport projects from planning to implementations, dealing with multi-channels (CUPPS, CUSS, web and mobile check-in). He now leads the activities of the IATA Common Use Working Group (CUWG). The mandate of this Working Group is to develop and maintain common use industry standards such as Common Use Self-Service (CUSS), Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) and standardised data exchange through the use of web services and API technology.
